Recent Public Comments Forum: Is a Ghost really what think it is?Posted:2/11/2013 12:43:13 PMSome very interesting questions raised about the standard ghost-hunting paradigms here. I would just add one thing. As far as the 'ghost clothes', personally I think the best explanation is thought-forms. Look up tulpas and such to get the idea. In short, the ghost sees themselves that way (in those clothes) or maybe it's you on some level believing they should have clothes and filling it in. Either way, the clothes are just a manifestation. Obviously the clothes didn't die tragically or whatever, they just 'belong'.Forum: CRITTERS ARE NOT PARANORMAL.(IN MY OPINION)Posted:7/28/2012 4:03:29 PMYikes. That's Caps Lock. Typo.Forum: CRITTERS ARE NOT PARANORMAL.(IN MY OPINION)Posted:7/28/2012 4:02:59 PMPlease turn your Csps Lock off. Thank you. Also my virus scan immediately told me that site (paranormalornot.com) was suspicious and get the heck off it now, so I did. There may be something nasty waiting to download from there, so people, be careful.Forum: Speciation: We Need to be PreyPosted:7/15/2012 12:29:59 AMHow do we know we're not prey? >:)Forum: Paranormal Unity.... Why it can work.....Posted:4/11/2012 12:47:03 PMFirst off, you guys have a point. What exactly are we studying, how do we collect data etc? It's very complicated, and very, very hard to organize properly, especially without egos and money and so on interfering. And I would just remind people that even science is not that organized. Different terms for the same thing, the same term for different things, different methodologies. Organizing it into standardized databases etc would be epic, if not impossible. And that's the real 'hard science' stuff like physics. I'm afraid the paranormal may not ever get there. On the other hand, teams sharing their observations, data and even equipment is a good idea, and a good start. By all means, network, but don't be too disappointed if it doesn't all coalesce nicely.Forum: Reality checkPosted:4/9/2012 1:39:19 PMBecause once in a while there's a reliable, well-detailed, and maybe even convincing UFO report or some such, and 'they' don't need that sort of thing laying around untampered-with. :P Forum: Reality checkPosted:4/6/2012 3:55:09 PMOK, when you use the term 'roleplayers', I'm guessing you don't mean the same by as it I might. Because there's a huge difference, between people who are into role-playing games, and disinformation agents like propaganda specialists and intelligence operatives etc. Some people may not realize or take seriously any website that claims to really have info on conspiracies and the paranormal, and so decide to incorporate it into their game or storyline. This may not be wholly fair or nice, but it's innocent of malice. A real dis-info agent is not playing. And actually, they tend to be somewhat hard to recognize, by specific training. Their objective is closer to what you say, specifically to confuse the details and make reports and ideas unreliable and mock-worthy. Most of the time, someone mocking you or messing up the details is not a dis-info agent. They may be ignorant of the real details, contemptuous of you and your ideas, but are not necessarily professional. The professionals don't need to spend a lot of time on these sites. A little here and there, but mostly, sorry to say, the paranormal communities and conspiracy enthusiasts don't need any help to confuse details and present things in a way that will just draw laughs.Forum: curiouser and curiouserPosted:3/7/2012 3:16:53 PMghost, could you tell us some more about your OOB's and these spiritual beings? I'm not sure whether there's anything special going on in that department or not, but if you're having these experiences at all, dish!Forum: curiouser and curiouserPosted:3/7/2012 3:13:45 PMRan across a quote on 2012 that makes ya think. Went essentially like this: "Why is it that people who otherwise would never believe a single thing the ancient Mayans had to say feel predictions about their calendar are spot on?" Oh well, we can still make the year special somehow. Bad or good, but please try for good.Forum: Extraterrestrial Disclosure Petition IIPosted:2/25/2012 6:27:03 PMInteresting, though I don't really expect any result from such a petition.
