Iceland Volcano eruption -- the beginning of the end?

The so called endtime and earth changes will start with the great shaking of South America and the eruption of a volcano in Iceland. If there are greater activities in the volcanoes on Iceland, Vesuvius or Pelee, then the southern coast of California and the areas between Salt Lake and the southern portions of Nevada, we may expect, within the three months following same, inundation by the earthquakes. -- Edgar Cayce in the 1940sHad a flight back to the U.S. tomorrow, leaving out of Frankfurt, which I'm sure will be cancelled...if the airline problems continue for months, who knows what will happen?

It is going to be interesting to see if Katla erupts.  From what I've read it sounds like the volcano erupting now, Eyja-something-something, wouldn't be that bad if the wind wasn't blowing to the SE.  The way I understand it is that it and Katla tend to erupt together and that Katla is big enough to cause a global drop in temperature, which would be great to shut up all the global warming nut jobs, but could be a sign.  The number of big earthquakes certainly seems out of control, maybe its time volcanoes get their turn.

Jeff, are you another of these "2012 Armageddon" believers? We are in the "Time of the Cleansing" as told by many Native American prophecies, which is a time of change from one cycle to another. Yes there will be earth changes, but it's not the end of time, its just a time of change. Just as the Mayan calendar shows - an end of the "long count" cycle - much like the ancient Celtic calendar. I think we need to blame the Christian book of fables (the Bible) for this "End Times" craze. This is the same craze that made people believe the end of the world would come in the years 1000 and 2000. Of course our modern calendar, the Julian calendar is not accurate at all, and was a poor choice by the church - as are most of their choices.

What just cracks me up about Christian "dooms-dayers" is that sure, the Book of Revelations sounds like life is going to suck for a little while, but then God is supposed to come and make everything all better and humanity lives on in perfect happiness in New Jerusalem.  If that's the case why do all the Christians freak out about it?  The way I see it is that the people who are the most scared that the Apocalypse is right around the corner are the people who know that deep down inside they are terrible people, and they know that if the religion they supposedly believe in turns out to be correct they're going to be on the wrong side of their God's wrath.  The way I see it is that the Earth's environment is going to change whether we like it or not, we are going to continue to evolve, life as we know it is going to end.  It may end and get better, it may end and get worse, and it may just plain ol' END.  If this volcano is the start of that, so be it.  I'm mostly right with my own version of the Divine so bring it on universe.

see even jeff knows something weird is happening...and by the way,  jeff don't forget about yellow stone, (i think that the one)it's a hugh volcano under the ground that takes pretty much of the park, animals are dieing there now, and the scientist are regulary checking it.

Well, I don't necessarily quote scripture when it comes to the end of times, although ironically I have a lot in common with christian conspiracy theorists, that's for sure. Whether or not I survive into the 'new beginning' is debatable. Do I believe the earth is ready to wipe itself of thousands of years of civilization? Yes. Whether or not that will be the result of some pole shift or something else, I have no idea, although the pole shift theory based on the return of Nemesis and volcanic eruptions and earthquakes has its appeal to me. Do I think it will be positive in the end? It will be 'different' anyway...but I may have to be reincarnated after dying in some volcanic flood to see the end result.

The only thing that bothers me is that our government has building and devices strong enough to make ANYTHING happen. This means that if they want armageddon to happen, it will, if it does, blame them, not prophacies. Our government can make gigantic earthquakes, change the weather completely, and erupt vallcanoes. This is not my imagination, these are facts. Given the fact that Obama is attacking staus-quo, that would give them a perfect reason to start armageddon, besides all of these facts, we have detonaated dozens or more nuclear bombs, I am sure this has had some effect on our planet, physicists also ecplain that the energy released from nuclear explosions and nuclear reactors is actually very close to the energies that make the core of our planet run. So don't worry about unkown gods changing our future, blame it on the global networks of governments that can in fact control every aspect of the Earth's phenomenon.

Have you ever wondered who are at the very top of the pyramid? Who control those who control the "global network of governments" as you say? You may find yourself in the same realm as gods, but they are not "gods". If you think this is far-fetched, do a little research and you will find yourself opening a very large can of worms.

First off..the planet will do what the planet needs to due to keep balance and harmony...I think we could call this the year of the earthquake....or volcanic eruption...Or both...when one part of the earth moves or empties out..another part or parts will move to compensate...even our best scientists with scientific data..only guess as to what will happen next..Im sure that the scientific world in conjunction with our government and other countries governments..have the ability to alter weather..Its been documented that in countries like China and Japan..and in remote parts of some deserts..cloud seeding has been tried and with success.(massive rains)..However..I do not believe that even if the government had the power to create earthquakes or volcanic eruptions..that it would in fact do so...For one...our government would not want to send all of California..into the ocean..thats counter productive..They want to know they can control the damage enough to just keep the poor serving the rich..Once you start to trigger earthquakes you have no idea where that will lead..also i must make this point...Man kind is smaller than the smallest ant in comparison to the planet itself...we dont effect this planet much at all...aside from taking down to many rain forests we really dont have that much bearing...i do believe that when the planet feels its had enough....it will do whats necessary to purge or balance itself..Do i think this is the beginning of the end? ..Not bloody likely!...will the planet change?..YES!...Funny if you look at how many times a person or a group of people have predicted doomsday...its shocking...we should have been wiped out centuries ago...( for all those who havent been there..Armageddon Online..is a great site...when your there.. look to see how many times people have predicted the end only to be wrong..I say this to the humanity..QUIT FEARING THE END!!!....governments want you to fear the end!....Nations are controlled by fear and intimidation...Look we all die sometime...Find that place in your conscience where you are at peace with your self and the world and die with glory...Note because you are at peace with yourself..does not mean you have to go peacefully...I know i shouldnt quote movies..But i say ..PREPARE FOR GLORY!

Uhm Im at least one half Native American Indian..Great statements you have made...the planet will do what it needs to do to maintain balance...Also i find it So Aggrivating how all history books taught that the Indian was the savage and the English or the Spanish was the good guy...I was raised Very religiously strict..attended a very strict religious school...we were taught that same hogwash...ALL Indian beliefs held the earth as sacred..They were peacefull people..they were content to live simple..and yet in their own way were a very complex society..with deep morale values..and a wealth of wisdom..and yet before the English Bastards..they had NO Bible...Despite that they had there own version of the Ten Commandments..and they used the earth wisely...(again a movie reference)..as i watched the movie Avatar..i thought very much of the Native American Indians ..that were drove off their own land

Hah. Yeah, I saw that article. What about in the animal kingdom though? Sheeps, dogs, bears, fish, frogs...they have sex with whatever partner they can, right? Maybe they're contributing to the problem.

Shadow Of A Man's first post is my opinion to me i think its just another natural cause yes it is rare for something like this to happen but it has happened throughout earths history and there are many that were 1000s of times worse then the one happening right now and like he said we are just at the end of another cycle there hasnt been a single bit of evidence that points to the mayans saying that 2012 is the end year they just stopped recording for whatever reason and im sure that the reason is more natural then unnatural hey im a firm believer in the paranormal and such but id like to see proof before i say weither i believe in something or not or lack of proof too depending on the subject but the point is all of this will just blow over eventually dont be hiding in your bunker just yet wait till you see that tidal wave of lava coming for you THEN get in your bunker hahaha.
