What isn't that what the origin thread turned into?

At work today, me and a guy I work with were talking about Near Death Experiences. We`ve both read books on it, and I`ve read a lot about it online. So what do you guys think-is it real or not?
That`s what`s on my mind tonight.
Wereparadox   posted:2/18/2013 7:48:25 PM  (Reply)
I defenatly think people get near death. As far as what people expierence it think its a bit like what you think is going to happen is around what you get. Type of thing.
breeld   posted:2/19/2013 6:53:03 AM  (Reply)
Ok now that was funny. But aside from that, I think the experience has happened to enough people, with enough similarity, that it bears looking into.

So the question would be are the energy forces that animate our living bodies cognisant after death? Are we still conscious and retain memory? Are we still 'alive'?
LincolnGenghis   posted:2/19/2013 9:45:13 AM  (Reply)
We come from pure consciousness, spend some
time in these temporary vessels, then go back
To pure consciousness. A bigger question would
be what is the real purpose behind this temporary
constrained physical form we endure.

Except for you (spooky) and Breeld. You have to clear things through the men folk
First. :)

I think we assume this life to experience things that a pure conscience can't. Or it's a ride at a spiritual amusement park. Why not? Souls are emortal.

I had a strange dream last night. I was driving down the road in a truck I've never owned. I was trying to avoid someone else and drove up onto a hill. The truck rolled over and suddenly I was in house I've never seen. At first I noticed people. I got the sence that the person I was didn't recognise them. The longer I stayed in the house the more the seens got disjointed. I got more and more confused. It became hard to focus and think about what I wanted to do. At first I watched the people and even sampled the food they left out. But over not a long amount of time the seens switched and soon the people were gone and the house was suddenly more and more trashed with disuse. It soon it became harder and impossible to even think at all untill I could only seem to focus on one object. An old iron shandlier type lighting. As I watched over what seemed like seconds it turned rusty and one side broke. Suddenly though I could think and move again. I could see the delapidated house. The door was off and I went outside back in my faculties as it were. This was the last days of earth I found out later. As I walked out into the city I saw others they were dead too. They were all walking single file towards one destination. As I looked I saw each person had a number over there head. None had 666 just random numbers. I'm petty sure I saw duplicits as well. I saw a giant upside down tornado. I was drawn towards it. I wonderd if I had a number I did. A voice told me what it was. It was a scary almost evil sounding voice. I asked it questions that I can't remember. I think about what was going on. I went into the vortex and started to go up. Something about some numbers changed as I did. Not sure if it was my nuber though. I think it was the plane I was on. I looked up to see a ball of bright yellow lighting. I was afraid that I might not make it up. That any second I would see fire and hell. My fears started to come true. I said "My faith is in God." I woke up. I couldn't move for a bit. I came out of it.

how could we make room for the new and next if the old do not die ? It is part of the process. as for doing it by the numbers, sure hope they were all primes.
breeld   posted:2/19/2013 8:12:11 PM  (Reply)
OH my god! Prime numbers again? lol
Oops, sorry guys, may I post this? hmmmm?
LincolnGenghis   posted:2/19/2013 10:48:06 PM  (Reply)
:) Yeah I guess. Damn I can't seem to piss anybody off. Well I will try this then.

Gary I think we should run thru this whole prime number thing again. I think I still like base ten systems as opposed to base twelve
systems also. Why would a base 12 system be better then a base 10 system in your opinion?

Any thoughts from you on this breeld? :)
gary107   posted:2/19/2013 11:53:32 PM  (Reply)
because thinking in base 12 you realize 12 can be factored by 6 & 2 and 3 & 4, but in base 10 there is only 2 & 5, so a mind trained in base 12 will always be thinking in terms of more than just two ways to do a thing. less black and white in the ways to do things.
base 12 gives an order to the prime numbers [the universe is orderly, difficult but orderly] and the two strings of the prime numbers.
the two strings are mirror images of each other when you go into the negative of each string,e.g.: -19,-13,-7,-1,5,11,17,23 for 6n-1 and -17,-11,-5,1,7,13,19 for 6n+1. Whereas in base 10 the prime numbers appear random and therefore imply there is no order at all to the universe. "Order, no order" is part of the discussion "God, no god." that is why it is meaningful. my degree in Philosophy, minor in mathematics.

we are reaching the point of God. I think God is a goal to be reached. We are heading that way in the development that comes with our advanced technologies.
I think we will reach God, but we will find we were not the first to get there. That is how I think of it.
bobprin   posted:2/20/2013 7:10:19 AM  (Reply)
Then what? Go for god II? Could it be that there is no 'goal', that we simply experience?
