Any bitcoin users out there? Pain in the ass getting ahold of a few to start 'playing' the game of circumventing the Fed.

I was getting ready to get into that corner of society but then I noticed that there really was a lot of stuff to do in order to get one's self fully immersed in that subculture. And frankly I am too old and too poor to really give a shit what the fed knows about my finances.

lots of luck getting some. there are allot of people hording them thinking the value will go up. there is not enough changing hands right now to keep the currency going. real banks will not touch them and they are of limited use given all the hording going on. there really is no standard exchange rate for them either. In my opinion they are a failed experiment.

Greater demand for virtual currencies could have a negative impact on the reputation of central banks, according to a report published by the European Central Bank in October last year. Since the report was released, bitcoin has risen more than 55 percent against the dollar and use of the currency has surged.

Community news-sharing site Reddit is the latest in a small (but growing) list of online services that are now accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment.

I should make an 'elite' section of paranormalnews.com, only accessible via bitcoin payment. heh

It's probably considered a pyramid scheme because the Japanese mathematician who invented it and disappeared kept the first block, which I guess is worth about 50% of all bitcoin value combined. I had a cool conspiracy in the works in my brain about it when I first started looking into it. Had to do with Japan being attacked somehow for not playing nice with the Fed.

So this is simply imaginary currency with no root value, worth only what others say or think it has. I can take any object and increase its value with a plausable story. " this is the chamber pot used by molly pitcher" someone will want it. Sounds lik e a scheme to me. Watch any episode of antiques roadshow to get my meaning.

No different than Federal Reserve currency. lol. Although pretty much untaxable since it is P2P.

Ahh, untaxable. For now

look at the federal notes they are back by nothing but the paper they are written on, no gold, no silver, nothing at all. how do we ever keep it afloat?

But its real. You c an hold it in your hand and everyone more or less agrees on its worth. My business is conducted with 90% cash. People believe in it. Maybe I should melt down some of this platinum I got laying around and make bob dollars.

Well, you can buy bitcoin debit cards too. That's real, I guess--if that's what you're after.
