Asheville, N.C. (September, 2003) -- A shocking anomaly has been discovered in NASA’s moon footage, taken from the flight of Apollo 8, the first mission to send humans to the moon and back, in 1968. Footage taken of the lunar surface shows a tall, black object jutting from the ground that emits a jet-like cloud that drifts to the right and dissipates. The small, but clearly-visible, anomaly is on-screen for only two seconds in the 1999 program "NOVA: To The Moon," and was apparently unnoticed until former NASA employee Charles A. Yost, now Executive Editor of "Electric Space Craft," a scientific journal, discovered the strange object. Yost’s finding was published in the August, 2003, issue of "Electric Space Craft."

The footage was supposedly shot from 70 miles above the lunar surface, meaning the object, which looks like a smokestack, could be thousands of feet tall. The anomaly cannot be explained as lint or debris on the film since it appears in many frames, changes as the camera’s perspective is altered, and produces the jet-like cloud that drifts and vanishes. Yost says he has no idea what the mysterious object could be.

"Electric Space Craft" has allowed the L.E.M.U.R. paranormal research team, of Asheville, North Carolina, to post the stills, a reproduction of the footage, and complete information, on their web site. L.E.M.U.R.’s president, Joshua P. Warren, says, "This amazing footage could alter our entire perception of NASA’s work on the moon. It raises a plethora of questions for which the world should demand answers."
